Seniors are increasingly targeted by scammers and often lose thousands of dollars. The tactics used against them are sophisticated, manipulative, and specifically designed to exploit trust and confusion.
Many seniors grew up in a world where people were more honest, so they may not expect fake texts, calls, or websites.
Scam messages look almost identical to real bank, CRA, or delivery messages.
Scammers use fear ("You will be arrested") and deadlines ("Act now or lose your account") to force quick decisions.
Seniors who feel lonely may stay longer on the phone with scammers pretending to "help".
After a scam, many feel too embarrassed to tell family or ask for help.
SafeCircle Shield is designed to make the next step clear and safe.
SafeCircle Shield is available now on iPhone and on the Web App. Here's what you can do:
Copy and paste text messages directly into the scanner. No need to forward or screenshot—just paste the text.
Check suspicious emails for phishing patterns, fake sender addresses, and malicious links before clicking anything.
See an instant verdict: Low, Medium, or High risk. No confusion—just a clear answer you can understand.
Get a plain-language explanation of what red flags were detected—urgency, fake links, impersonation, or other warning signs.
Clear instructions: Block the sender, report to authorities, verify with your bank safely, or simply ignore and delete.
